Will We Think About Where We Were?

As of a few minutes ago, at about 7:00 p.m. EDT, we have a black American man as the nominee for President of the United States, as the result of a motion for his nomination by acclamation by a white American woman who lost to him.

Some history happening.

I wonder sometimes what it would be like to be my father's age, or older. Old people grew up in an age where genders, races, and ages had clearly defined roles in society.

Now there isn't a set of specific expectations. It must be a little disorienting to them, even if they agree that the changes are good and long overdue.
