It Rained...

in Atlanta about a half hour ago. Where I live. For about twenty minutes. Everything outside was wet. How strange. I saw a puddle. Not much of a puddle. But a puddle none-the-less.

That is all. You may resume your normal activities.

Can you send some this way? Along with that, how about some temps about say...40 degrees cooler.

Yeah Keith, but it's supposed to be like that where you live. Not here. If Atlanta were in a valley, it would soon be known as the Son of the Valley of the Sun.

Thanks for rubbing it in. :-(

I had to drive through the big thunderstorm and endure the crappy traffic, but didn't get to have much of it land on my house. The driveway is already dry. *sigh*

Dave, yeah I know that. I've been here for 12 years now AND I still don't like the heat. They told me that I would get used to it. I never did. Don't get me wrong though, I love Phoenix. Lots to do and the folks are nice. But if I could live hear say October through May only, I'd like it even better.

90 degrees and slightly windy here in Rochester, NY. Apparently good for old connective tissue, since I shot a 40 on the front nine today. Hooray!

But we could use some rain, too.

Fermi, you're a scientist. You know eventually you will get some rain. Bell curves and all that.

If it makes you feel any better, the pavement was dry about 20 minutes after I published the post.

Keith, I understand what you are saying. I've been to Phoenix once in the Summer and one in the Winter (oh, and once whenever in the airport for an connection to Los Angeles).

On the Summer visit, I walked out of the hotel at 8:00 a.m. and the display on the bank across the street already read a 100. The Winter visit, in December, it was about 75 in the morning. We drove through Sedona (gorgeous) to the Grand Canyon. Between the Canyon and Flagstaff, it started snowing seriously. It took something like six hours to get back to Glendale.

Next morning, I sat next to the pool drinking coffee when I got up.

Hey LF. I was going to comment on your post the other day about the match play win, buy couldn't think of anything interesting to say.

Your mention of just the 40 on the front leads me to believe you may have had similar day to that of Big Rick on Sunday.

The only part he told everyone about was his three over on the front (and my eight). He didn't mention his plus 11 on the back (or my plus 1). It wasn't real golf anyway, we played an "executive course" - par 58. I'd take an 80 anywhere, anytime on a real course.

It's storming here. Like crazy. I love storms. This guy I know has already emailed me like six times from the next county cause EVERYONE knows how crazy I am about storms.

I LOVE storms. More than Big Brother even. :)

It's a damn deluge here. In Texas, for crying out loud!

Dave said...

OK Monica and JLee, put up a big bubble, a moving bubble, better a slide that gets about a hundred miles past Birmingham and dumps about a foot of water over us here.

As the slide crosses the border into Georgia, I want a northward shoot that puts about half of it into Lake Lanier. That part is for later.

One proviso, I don't want it to rain on Saturday from about nine till one, Sunday from four till six or next Wednesday from eight till about one. I have outdoor plans. Thank you.
