Well, how 'bout that?

I just published the last post, you don't need to read it if you'd rather not. It mentioned paint. I found a typo and went back to fix it and re-publish. Google has found a way to monetize Blogger. There to the right of the text box was a flashing ad asking me if I wanted to know about paint booths!

I guess Blogger with all it's flaws couldn't be non-commercial forever. Is the next step Google putting ads on my site without my say so?

I wonder what it's going to flash when I hit publish post this time?

Google doesn't put ads on your actual blog without your request. The ad you're referring to pops up when you publish; it is supposed to be specially targeted to your topic du jour. It doesn't bother me any and it seems to make them happy....

Not upset, just suprised - it's the first time I've seen it. And, all my anti-popup software didn't block it.

I accidentally downloaded something called "GameVance" that was linking my blog to all these ads for an online university. At first I blamed Wordpress, but then figured out what was going on and got rid of it. So annoying.
