One Down, Four or Five to Go

Lou Dobbs just resigned from CNN.

Hannity, O'Reilly, Scarborough, Olbermann, Limbaugh, Savage, hell, that's six already.

Just out of curiosity -and because I don't really follow the news channels -why did Lou Dobbs resign anyway?

Something along the lines of he's going to take the truth about the important issues facing us, like the Mexicans that don't come here anymore because the economy is in the tank, to the American People!

From the CNN President:

"With characteristic forthrightness, Lou has now decided to carry the banner of advocacy journalism elsewhere."

Are you allowed to use advocacy as an adjective with journalism?

I got a verb on my page I need your assistance with a conjugation of. You had said you were a minor in English or was it a major?

Major, but many, many years ago. Your comment reminds me of something that Winston Churchill said; but, I'm to lazy to go and Google it.

Translated: "I just got a better offer from FOX..."

I was once a steady customer of CNN, but then Lou Dobbs went off the deep end. Without even realizing my behavior change, I stopped tuning in. The furor over Dobb's comments during the past few months made me realize I'd made a subconscious decision to go elsewhere - primarily public radio where shouting and name-calling are anathema.
