Take this North Central and East!

It's only been snowing for a few hours. The weather people are beside themselves with the event. High tomorrow is about forty, we'll enjoy the blizzard while we can.

What's that? Like an inch and a half? (Maybe more -- the picture is not very clear on that point.) Dave, you're from Michigan -- you of all people ought to know that's laughable by our standards.

But, hey, ask me about the time I was at a client's location in central Virginia, and the entire school shut down (totally messing up my mojo) because of a light dusting.

Or the time I was in San Antonio for a friend's wedding and the entire city went into a state of emergency because they got two inches.

Pos, I was going to title it "take this Pos!" It's about an inch, we may get three. Right now every road in Atlanta has cars sitting and sliding on it. We don't deal well with white stuff

While I can drive in snow, it's the other few hundred people in the hundred yards around me that scare me.

Driving wasn't bad at 5:15 when I drove home from the MARTA station (on the Yellow, I mean, Gold line). Slushy, not slippery. But it was still 33F back then.

I am enjoying the show. We have 2-3" here and it is still falling lightly. I took photos, but the desktop Mac is still on the fritz so who knows when I will be able to post them.

That's such a beautiful scene. And like Sonja's Mom, I'm sitting in 65 degree weather, 75's the expected high tomorrow, Sunday or Monday we'll be sunning in the 80's.

Jealous much?

Well, all that snow didn't last long, did it?

To wrap it all up, it's in the forties and there is only snow in the shade. High tomorrow will be in the high forties with a chance of rain/sleet/snow over night on Sunday.

This is how we do Winter in the ATL.

Seems hardly worth all the bother, eh?

They made a big point on the news here in Chicago the other night of saying there was snow on the ground in 49 of the 50 states -- there was some debate over whether there might be a snow cap on a mountain in Hawaii but it was decided there was not.

If you're out of snow now, we have plenty we can share.
