Vietnam Redux, Happy Stuff

I’m not breaking my happy stuff rule for the day. This link will take you to an opinion piece in The Los Angeles Times that posits how we can make up for cutting and running in Vietnam. That’s good news, isn’t it?

Bush's interpretation of the lessons of Vietnam: Until we've lost 50,000+ and been there 15 years, the Iraqi "surge" hasn't been given enough of a chance to work.

For some, the lessons of Vietnam were "drop more bombs next time" and "keep the media under control".

Some people never learn. Problem is, we seem to keep electing those same people...
